Staying here offers a chance to relax and unwind while soaking up the real atmosphere of France in an area the French have largely kept a secret to themselves.
The villa is in the centre of the village of Cozes with its boulangerie and small shops and just five minutes drive to the Atlantic coast with a choice of the sophistication of the seafront at Royan or the solitude of the deserted beaches of the Côte Sauvage.
Spend your time relaxing beside the pool in the very private gardens or take a trip to Bordeaux, the Roman town of Saintes or chic La Rochelle (described by the Rough Guide to France as the prettiest city in France.) If you feel like being more active surfing, horse-riding and golf are all on hand.
The area is renowned for its oysters and seafood and is part of the Cognac Appellation Contrôlée. It has a summer climate equal to the Mediterranean (but without the people!).
